A new approach to Bar Mitzvah Photography

For almost 20 years, Neil McAllister has brought his creative talents to bear on all manner of social functions, from weddings to royal occasions. The resulting images have been for publication in magazines such as Cheshire Life as well as for personal appreciation.

Our stills coverage has been developed and refined over the years to be as unobtrusive as possible on the day, but produced to the highest professional standards. Each client's requirements are different, so we have made our Bar Mitzvah services as flexible as possible.

Portraits. Many clients like a stills portrait session, which ideally takes place at your home on a day prior to the Barmitzvah, however it is possible to do this on the actual day if sufficient time is allowed. We recommend no less than one hour being set aside in order to achieve our usual high standard of portraiture. When less time is available, a compromise between time and quality is the result.

Whilst we normally undertake this work in colour, we can provide photographs in black and white if required. A normal session will include family groups as required as well as portraits of your son.

During the function coverage, a different style of photography is employed. More journalistic, it aims to capture the spirit of the occasion in a much less formal way than the home portraits.

This photographic coverage of the function starts by casually recording groups and encounters as guests are received, and continues round the tables, through speeches and concludes with images, which convey the party atmosphere. Because of the nature of this coverage, many photographs tend to be taken, and we have developed a package to make this photography economical.

With both the portrait and celebratory function photography, additional prints and enlargements are available.

2000 Bar Mitzvah Still Photography Prices

Home Portraits - A session at home or function venue, before the Bar Mitzvah, or evening function. £88,
including eight 5" prints, inclusive of VAT. Further prints may be purchased if required.
A minimum of 1 hour is required to be set aside for the session, it is impossible to achieve professional results in less time.

Function Coverage - photographic coverage at the evening function as required for up to five hours, commencing at the reception.
£355 including 30 7"x5" prints , inclusive of VAT. Further prints may be purchased if required.
