The Neil McAllister Photo Collection is a select library of over 25,000 UK and Long-Haul Travel images, in digital, 35mm, 6x6, 6x4.5 and 6x17 Panoramic formats.

We are currently engaged in a programme of scanning the entire collection, so not all images are currently available digitally.

The collection holds a large quantity of recently taken pictures of England and Wales, covering most areas of tourist interest, and many major towns and cities.

A unique part of the collection are some of the oldest known photographs of Cheshire, taken around 1860, including many well-known buildings such as Little Moreton Hall, and photographs of the Macclesfield area, like this picture of Gawsworth Churchyard. We also have the Red Box collection - probably Britain's largest archive of Phone Box pictures.

Supply of Pictures. We provide both original transparencies, and scans either by email, or on CD, for advertising, book and magazine use.

To Search for pictures. We plan to include an interactive search facility to this site in 2004, however we aren't Corbis or Getty images, so for magazine and book illustration, advertising, PR and design agencies, email your requirements - we don't charge a search fee.

Payment of reproduction fees grant licence to publish specified photographs, in specified markets, but copyright is not assigned, and the author retains all rights under the 1988 Copyrights and Patents Act. Title to all pictures remains with Neil McAllister at all times. Reproduction without, or before payment, constitutes a breach of copyright under international law.
